If you're old enough to remember the original Naim Nait1 from around 1983 then you will recognise this picture.
It is NOT a Naim Nait 1 though, it is a Naim Nait 50 built to celebrate 50 years of Naim Audio in a limited edition run of 1973 examples.
When I first heard of this I thought why would I buy a Nait1 for £ 2699 when life has moved on and there are far better amplifiers around now?
There is a reason though, this is NOT a Nait1, or even close to it !
It is way way better
It is still low power at 25wpc, more than the original yet still keeping that punchy immediate sound of early Naim gear.
Added is a touch of class and refinement making this a very desirable piece of kit
Yes the input selectors still make that satisfyingly clunky sound but they now connect to a rear switch like many other Naim models. They've added a headphone amp from the NSC222, a discrete phono stage and circuit topography from a NAP 250
This is a serious piece of 2023 kit in a 1983 suit of clothes, audition and order early, these won't sit about for long
