Soundbars, the next level of performance arrives!

I am often asked about soundbars, which is a shame as most of them are difficult to get excited about. The two that I do recommend and supply most of are the Sonos Arc Ultra Bar and the Bluesound Pulse +.
Now news has arrived of a super tech bar that I believe will be really special and set a new level. Kef have announced a bar that can be placed upright, on-wall, or flat on a cabinet and the unique algorithm will change the sound dispersion to suit. It also looks great with any tv from 55" upwards, see pic. This will fill a room and bring great diction everywhere as well as 5.1.2 surround sound processing and Dolby Atmos. HDMI eArc included means that your normal tv or Sky remote will control it. As well as great tv sound it will also play music from online sources at high resolution controlled by your phone/tablet. This can use Kef's own app or the Connect system from the Spotify or Qobuz app if that's what you prefer.
Why is the Kef so good? Other bars can do some or all of the above but this has even more. The XIO will use the technology learned from the Kef LS50W2 and LS60 loudspeakers where multiple amplifiers, 12 here, give the ultimate in control, dynamics and a more precise sound. Used in a sound bar this is another first for Kef's industry leading engineers and promises a performance level that existing sound bars simply cannot achieve. Bold statement but that's science and engineering for you!
What Hifi have had an early review sample calling it 'one of the best subwoofers we have heard' They have a criticism of no hdmi inputs which I see as a strength! You don't need to faff around switching tv sources as the tv remote does that for you.
They also comment that the Sennheiser Ambeo bar at the same price has more bass but is not as clear. No surprise there as the Ambeo is physically huge by comparison.
To keep the supreme clarity of the Kef and gain more bass simply add a Kef subwoofer wirelessly. This will be seamless and will fill the room with even deeper bass. Sorted !
