We love Ruark's table top radios and have worked with the company for many years. Last year they introduced a one box streaming system with matching speakers, the R610 with Sabre speakers, and it has done very well, sounds good and it's well priced at £ 1899.

Now they have an even better offering, R710 is a bigger brother with better sounding amplification and an integrated cd player all for £ 2199. To match there are also new floorstanding speakers, the Talisman R at £ 1499. Both are available in black or walnut.

We are also in business long enough to remember when Ruark made speakers in the UK and Talisman R was one we recommended over 20 years ago! The new ones even look like the original models, a compact, slim, speaker that has an angled front baffle.

The actual working drive units are much better though, drive unit materials have moved on dramatically in the intervening time, an aeon in the hifi world!

Looking forward to hearing them, we'll need to be patient though, they won't be with us until September/October
