Kef LS LUXE Wireless Speaker System

Kef LS LUXE Wireless Speaker System

So after being teased for a month or two now we know what the new Kefs look like, and what they actually are.

They look like a work of art, and they are a complete music system.

LS LUXE

Now if this was any run-of-the-mill loudspeaker company I know that we would see the same drive units reworked into a new cabinet, however Kef does not act like any ordinary loudspeaker company.

The entire Uni-Q drive unit is new, and while some might say it's the same principle as other Uni-Qs actually it isn't.

When you've been designing and building the most successful wireless active streaming speakers around - LSX2, LS50W2 and LS60 - for a few years now, and you have Kef's DNA for innovation, you have to go even further.

Geeks like me remember that Linn's largest speakers have used a double coil feedback system to control cone movement. Kef have gone even further with Velocity Control Technology. A separate magnetic circuit senses the cone position reducing unwanted movement and lowering distortion.

This patented technology joins with other recent Kef firsts such as MIE control (Music Integrity Engine) and of course the ground breaking Meta technology.

The new cabinet material also plays it's part allowing a super smooth contour for diffraction free dispersion of the sound.

380 watts of amplification is also built into these beautiful cabinets, designed by Ross Lovegrove, look him up.

These beauties will be in the shop for a listen in a few days, drop me a line to arrange an appointment.

Oh, the price?

Kef LS Luxe sit between the LS50W2 and the LS60 so this room-filling, precise and powerful sound is yours for £ 3500. Three finishes are available - Mineral White, Dusk Titanium & Eclipse Black; matching stands soon to follow for £ 800.

So there you have it, a luxury, compact, high performance wireless speaker system.

What's not to love?
