It's not too often that real scientific progress comes along so this is an event! Not only are the Linn 343s beautiful but every surface, radius and drive unit is the appliance of meticulous engineering.

The curvaceous cabinet is made from a dense, non-resonant composite, so no hard edges to affect the wide dispersion of the three front facing drive units.

The 4th drive unit is a downward facing bass unit operating at below the frequency where bass becomes directional.

Both the front bass midrange and the downward bass feature Pistonik. This Linn technology produces lower frequency units with both a longer throw and also the lowest possible distortion. The result is a bass performance cleaner and deeper than previously possible.

343s have two versions, first a fully Exact active one with an Organik DAC per drive unit in PowerDac layout including Utopik power supplies and Adaptive Bias. This mouthful means that there is precise control of every driver movement all within the cabinet. A Linn Hub with the 2 speakers is your entire system and the shorter signal paths mean less loss and better clarity.

The passive version still features an active bass with a power amplifier built into each cabinet leaving you free to use the existing amplifier of your choice for the three front units.

The same Adaptive Bias control in the power amplifier means ultra low distortion bass performance giving depth and control along with real kick and slam.

These passive versions are now available for auditioning at Lyric Hifi. Drop us a line or call to make an appointment to hear what is possible.
