Why do we recommend Marantz av amplifiers over Denon, Yamaha, Onkyo etc?
Simple, we think they sound better even if they dont have as many inputs,
Here is an example, Marantz and Denon are sister companies, their products are very similar, but Denon, Yamaha, etc are positioned as AV products with every possible input and big big power figures in the specifications.
Marantz are different, they are a hifi company that also make AV and their ethos is sound quality first. Ironically this makes then sound better on both music AND films.
Add to that the fact that they are simple to use, reliable and have well laid out remotes, and what's not to love!
The SR5015 is the first full size model in the range and it works well with a wide range of speakers
It has all the features, DTS:X, Dolby Atmos, HDR10, Dolby Vision, 4k pass through on HDMIs
The performance is clearly better than the model below and close to the model above.
